haiku variations is a set of 17 character variations, split into a traditional haiku format of 5-7-5 across the three miniatures.

monochrome, filtered focuses on alternating between the white and black keys of the piano, and explores 5 variations on articulating the chords.

rice, with sugar and mala focuses on a simple diatonic melody, and explores 7 variations on reharmonisation.

same-same, but different focuses on a 2-bar atonal fragment, and explores 5 variations that splits it into smaller musical cells and changes the attributes of  individual notes.
