e.rr..rrr…oOOOO….RRRRRRRR
Chamber / 2025 / 5'
e.rr..rrr...oOOOO....RRRRRRRR takes inspiration from the unfortunately common phenomenon of computers crashing (which indeed happened a few times while composing this piece). The piece is in three sections, starting with a simple glissando motif. However, over time, this motif gets elongated, chopped, and overlaid until it becomes transformed into layered chromatic scales. The second section corrupts this motif even more by slowly removing notes, whilst intermittently interjecting with glitchy unpredictable gestures. By the last section, the motif has been broken down into individual notes, with the glitchy gestures now taking centre-stage and slowly elongating until they take over the soundscape, before finally freezing and crashing abruptly.
